Operations Manager

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic manager and leader to join the senior management team within Acute Services in NHS Forth Valley. The service manager will have responsibility for the delivery of high-quality Planned Care services within NHS Forth Valley.

• Led delivery of Planned Care services and overall system improvement to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Drive whole-system working through creative and innovative delivery of service and maintain some of the lowest waiting times in Scotland for the population of Forth Valley.
• Lead service teams to maximise their full potential and ensure robust governance within the Planned Care environment.
• Support the delivery of unscheduled care goals through participation in the duty manager rota and site-wide support when required.
• Promote service improvement and innovation, with evidence of successful leadership in these areas.

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent with evidence of continued personal development and possession of relevant professional qualifications or equivalent levels of professional and technical knowledge through managerial experience.
• Demonstrable track record of success in an operational leadership role within a healthcare environment, including leadership in service improvement and innovation.
• Excellent understanding of robust governance in the Planned Care environment.

• The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

• As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
