Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support that is based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or been shortlisted for over 100 national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Position:
Full Time Female Support Worker – Denny Service

In this service, we support one lady to live independently in her own flat. She has a learning disability, Autism and mental health concerns, so we are looking for individuals who have previous experience supporting an individual with Autism and Mental Health and can encourage and support her to become more independent.

Responsibilities

  • Cooking
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Supporting her to maintain her home and finances
Shift Pattern

The current shift pattern is from 10am – 10am the next day (including a sleepover 11pm‑8am). We also provide some 5‑hour 2:1 support shifts during the day, including evenings and weekends, but the shifts can change depending on what the lady we support wishes to do. This role is not a set day each week, so the successful candidate must have availability from Sunday to Saturday.

A driver is an advantage but not essential.

For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

The lady we support likes to be supported by people who respect her, listen to her wishes, are reliable and honest, so that she can build trust and know that you have her best interests at heart.
