Pipe Laborer - Laramie

Perform physical labor on heavy construction projects. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, small mechanical devices, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Installing and repairing sewer and water lines, working in trenches and around underground utilities such as gas, power, water, sewer and fiber optic lines. Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders to enter and exit machines and trenches.

Will lift heavy objects 40-70 pounds and communicate verbally with supervision and coworkers.

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
• Load, unload, and identify construction materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to verbal instructions using company vehicles and or heavy equipment.
• Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
• Transport and tend various size pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Tend equipment and vehicles that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand and aggregate.
