Turn your job into a career with Laramie Health and Rehabilitation! Laramie Health and Rehabilitation is currently looking for a Cook to join our dietary department. We believe breakfast, lunch and dinner should be healthy, delicious and fun. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.

• Demonstrates competency in operating kitchen equipment.
• Prepare pre-planned cycle menus in an efficient and effective manner.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Ability to read production orders on tray cards.
• Determine if the food prepared is of the highest possible quality in taste and flavor. Assist in planning cooking schedules. Confirm foods are ready on time for tray service.
• Maintain and improve standards of food storage, preparation, and services.
• Assist in checking food supplies on food order forms.
• Push carts to halls or kitchen.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness.

• Demonstrates knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, hygienic methods of food preparation and storage.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates competency in operating kitchen equipment.
• Moderate to heavy lifting (50-pound maximum), bending, reaching, and stooping.

• Required:
  
  Current Food Handlers card (or ability to obtain one) issued by local Health Department.
• Preferred:
  Prior cooking experience in a skilled nursing environment.
