Provide research services by independently designing and conducting a wide range of experiments, recording data, and preparing documentation requiring expertise in the application and adaptation of numerous research techniques and procedures.
This position is grant funded and considered at-will employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in writing proposals for research grants and program evaluation contracts; conduct awarded activities.
- Prepare reports for funding agencies as prescribed in grant/contract proposals.
- Collect, clean, analyze and interpret data from research and evaluation projects.
- Create data dashboards and other visualizations using Excel, REDCap and other proprietary programs to evaluate the impact of programmatic activities.
- Research literature to define additional research needs, perform specific methodologies related to health and social sciences and assist with writing manuscripts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure community feedback is considered in research and evaluation activities.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Travel to collect information to design, perform and present results of research, and learn new methodology.

Experience:
2 years work-related experience

Knowledge of:
- Health, social, public health, statistical or applicable science theory and concepts.
- Research methodologies and procedures especially related to community-based participatory research, statistics, data management and evaluation.
- Independent research design and protocol development theory, methods, concepts, and techniques.
- Decision and problem resolution methods, concepts and techniques.
- Communication and report writing theory, methods, concepts and techniques.
Skills and Abilities
to:
- Independently design and perform and/or supervise research projects following quality controls.
- Analyze and interpret research data using Excel, Access, SPSS, SAS, R, MAXQDA or similar software.
