Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within their scope of practice. The RN provides patient education, follows physician orders and protocols, and coordinates care with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of patient care
- Provide patient education based on individual needs
- Accurately transcribe and carry out physician orders and clinical protocols
- Coordinate with the healthcare team and delegate tasks to ancillary staff as appropriate
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Operating Room (OR) experience required
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Wyoming
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if taking call or administering conscious sedation (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
- CNOR certification preferred
- Completion of required annual CEUs
- Strong customer service skills with a professional, compassionate approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective listening, organization, and time-management abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to learn and use new computer software
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and legal accountability
