Base salary starts at $34.88/hr

  • Acts as a resource for clinical and nursing managers in the planning and completion of competencies house wide.
  • Organizes and teaches certification and clinical classes and maintains timely filing of all credentials in Education Files.
  • Organizes inventories and makes recommendations regarding education supplies for the department and patient education.
  • Hosts, organizes and participates in Clinical and Nursing Orientations.
  • Organizes and plans continual education for clinical staff.
  • Provides clinical training as requested by clinical department managers or Administration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Graduation of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • MSN Preferred
E X P E R I E N C E
  • Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required.
  • Previous experience as a clinical educator in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
C R E D E N T I A L S
  • Must be a licensed RN in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Wyoming Board of Nursing.
  • Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and certified as a BLS instructor within 6 months of hire and must maintain credentials throughout employment as a Clinical Instructor at IMH.
  • Must be ACLS certified and certified as an ACLS instructor within 6 months of hire and must maintain credentials throughout employment as a Clinical Instructor at IMH.
  • Must be PALS certified and certified as a PALS instructor within 6 months of hire and must maintain credentials throughout employment as a Clinical Instructor at IMH.
  • Must be MANDT certified and certified as a Mandt Instructor within 12 months of hire and must maintain credentials throughout employment as a Clinical Instructor at IMH.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning styles.
  • Ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
  • Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs.
  • Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
  • Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
