JOB TITLE:
Clinical Assistant Professor;
Assistant Director, Experiential Education
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop, coordinate, instruct, and administer various aspects of the experiential program (Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences) in alignment with ACPE accreditation standards and evolving roles in contemporary pharmacy practice. Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to maximize successful outcomes for the experiential program, students, and preceptors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach and coordinate experiential courses
- Develop innovative student learning opportunities in the experiential setting
- Orient and advise students for rotations
- Facilitate rotation availability, preferencing, and scheduling process
- Create and revise appropriate course/rotation materials and forms
- Develop new and current pharmacy practice rotation sites
- Maintain regular communication with students and preceptors
- Monitor and assess student and preceptor performance, providing support as needed
- Create and disseminate preceptor education and development activities
- Conduct regular preceptor site visits and document outcomes
- Oversee affiliation agreement process
- Develop expertise using the experiential learning management system
- Assist in maintaining accurate experiential records and compile reports as needed
- Engage in scholarly activity
- Serve on school, college and university and professional society committees as needed
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Offer an elective APPE rotation as needed
- Support the teaching missions of the School of Pharmacy by participating in other courses based on areas of interest, experience or expertise, and School need.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) degree or an equivalent professional pharmacy degree (e.g., Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Pharmacy) from an ACPE-accredited institution that meets eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the United States. - Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in WY
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and professionally with the SOP’s stakeholders—students, faculty, pharmacists, and other health professionals.
- Experience in pharmacy practice and precepting student pharmacists
- Pharm
D or advanced degree - Pharmacy practice residency (PGY1orPGY2) or fellowship
- Teaching experience
- Scholarship experience
