About Wyo Silver
Wyo Silver is a greenfield bentonite mining startup backed by Dr. Elsey’s, a long-standing litter producer investing in vertical integration to secure their supply chain and improve quality.

The RoleWe’re hiring a versatile Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance, permitting, exploration, quality and surveying. This position will become increasingly specialized in environmental compliance and permitting as the team grows.
As a foundational hire, you’ll help build systems and play a key role in shaping the company’s future.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both field and analytical work and thrives in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities Environmental Compliance & Permitting- Conduct wildlife and environmental monitoring surveys; prepare high‑quality technical reports
- Perform stormwater and site‑compliance monitoring (SWPPP), including installation of erosion and stormwater control structures
- Gradually take ownership of permit applications and annual reporting
- Develop internal environmental SOPs, documentation and best practices
- Operate a small CME drill truck to collect and log samples
- Process and test bentonite clay samples
- Assist with GNSS and drone‑based surveying (Carlson GNSS, Skydio X10)
- Safely support field operations using ATVs and other equipment
- 60‑80% fieldwork during peak seasons
- Remote, off‑road terrain; exposure to variable weather
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Travel within Wyoming with occasional overnight stays
- Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, environmental science, natural resources, or related field
- Field experience in wildlife or environmental monitoring
- Strong technical writing skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Mining or industrial minerals experience
- Experience with GNSS, drones, ATVs, and/or drill rigs
- FAA Part 107 certification
- Familiarity with MSHA regulations and compliance
