Position Summary:

The High School Earth/Physical Science Teacher is responsible for providing instruction to students in earth/physical science in assigned courses as specified in the District’s curriculum for the 2026/2027 school year.

• Plan and prepare classroom instruction.
• Maintain knowledge of subject area and align teaching to District objectives and student IEPs.
• Personalize instruction for individual student differences.
• Teach using varied techniques and instructional strategies.
• Use assessment strategies to measure learning and performance.
• Provide equity in the classroom, ensuring equal opportunity.
• Communicate positively with students and parents.
• Manage student behavior in classroom and beyond.
• Organize classroom to promote learning and safety.
• Enforce school rules in all school settings.
• Participate in professional growth and district activities.
• Follow school and district policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate professional responsibility and ethical behavior.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree and certification from Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with endorsement in secondary earth/physical science.
• Experience:
  
  Secondary science teaching experience preferred.

• Vision: read small print and view computer screen for extended periods.
• Hearing: answer phones and tolerate noisy conditions.
• Speech: be understood in face‑to‑face and telephone communications.
• Upper Body Mobility: use hands and fingers, manipulate objects, lift up to 5 lbs frequently.
• Environmental: work indoors and outdoors, with interruptions, independently and cooperatively.
• Mental Requirements: read, write, interpret complex information, high‑school math proficiency, judgment, quick processing, verbal instruction, task prioritization, record coordination.
• May require travel to multiple sites.

Position will be evaluated by the Principal or Assistant Principal.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
