Branch Manager

Founded in 1979, Hartmann Building Specialties is a family owned company that forges relationships with our customers as strong as steel from the beginning of their projects to the very end. With seven strategic locations, Hartmann Building Specialties is able to supply premium concrete products and accessories to our valued customers in the industrial, commercial and residential markets throughout East Texas, Southeast Texas and the areas of Southwest, Central and Eastern Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the branch including sales, operations, customer service, personnel, equipment and safety.
• Collaborate alongside Outside Sales, Operations and Management with sales quotes, orders, deliveries and customer issues.
• Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships and trust by being a dependable source of construction knowledge, information and experience.
• Perform all HR duties including interviewing, hiring and discipline of employees.
• Procure and source as needed stock and special order items in order to satisfy customer project requirements.
• Review and reconcile daily close-out.
• Review equipment checklists and schedule equipment maintenance as necessary.
• Manage inventory levels, petty cash, open orders, will call orders and rolling stock.
• Verify order pulling is correct and successfully complete internal product transfers.
• Create and implement specials and promotions.
• Schedule product training with vendors as appropriate.
• Perform a variety of other duties as required.
• Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned as business requires.

• Strong outgoing personality and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Previous sales experience in the residential, commercial or industrial construction fields a plus.
• Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing and concrete construction recommended.
• Ability to forge and cultivate professional relationships.
• Possess project management traits and have the ability to effectively negotiate.
• Demonstrate strong self motivation skills and the ability to manage your own workload and time.
• Ability to occasionally work in industrial and/or manufacturing environments that may be subject to loud noises and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rapidly adapt to change.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
