Overview

SALES LEADER – Part-Time

We are looking for part-time Sales Leaders who are enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working!

Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary selling and customer service to improve the productivity and profitability of the store, including product recommendations and solutions by working proactively with customers; serve as a role model of best-practice retail execution; maintain a sales, service, and relationship-building focus at all times.
  • Lead store activities by sharing product knowledge, reading store communications, and managing daily tasks as assigned by the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, including opening and/or closing the store.
  • Perform inventory management procedures, conduct product sets, stock product, maintain housekeeping, and assist with stockroom duties as identified or assigned.
  • Work closely with the corporate store team and report directly to the Store Manager.
  • Perform/completes other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of one (1) year of prior retail experience, sales, or customer service.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to open and close the store a minimum of three (3) times per week, and also work two (2) weekend shifts per month.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in (specialty) retail, sales, or customer service.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong customer-focused engagement and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees; strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to change.
  • Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate; proficiency and comfort using a computer and other technology.
  • Desire and ability to learn the business.
  • Ability to have access to store cash and product assets, and be accountable for maintaining accurate records and deposits.
  • Ability to assist in the training of new store employees and work closely with store management to understand new policies, operational changes, and training initiatives.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to stand/walk continuously, push/pull, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds; perform fine finger movements and tactile tasks; and grasp/hold with hands and fingers as required to assist with products, customers, registers, and equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently bend at the waist, climb/work at heights (step ladders, ladders), kneel and squat; lift/carry up to 40 pounds; and reach overhead with arms.
  • Must be able to occasionally balance on uneven surfaces; lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to rarely/infrequently drive or travel; lift/carry up to 75 pounds; or sit during job performance.
  • Must be able to continuously communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, either in-person or over the phone.
  • Working conditions may include exposure to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust when receiving deliveries, variable lighting, noise, scents, outdoor work, and working at heights in stockrooms or on the sales floor.
Employment Status

This is a regular, part-time, hourly position that is deemed “non-exempt” by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and will typically work between 10-28 hours per week, not to exceed an average of 28 hours per week.
