Talent Manager
Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project
As a People Operations Partner at the manufacturing facility, you will be the primary HR partner for the hourly workforce. You will:
- Lead hourly talent acquisition; partner with Group Leaders to define competencies for openings
- Promote inclusive employee experiences; support communication, engagement, retention, and community events
- Drive onboarding, performance, training; administer recognition programs, job changes, separations
- Ensure consistent application and execution of HR programs/processes
- Maintain accurate HRIS updates across the employee lifecycle
- Investigate employee relations matters and act as escalation point
- Provide flexibility to support employees across all shifts
- 3+ years' of HR Generalist experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
- Employee relations: investigations, coaching, disciplinary actions, timecards, attendance write-ups
- Hourly talent acquisition: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding production/plant roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; trusted partner across all levels
- Proficiency in Michigan labor laws
- HRIS experience; maintain accurate career/lifecycle changes
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion with confidential info
- Ability to support multi-shift operations and be flexible across all shifts (including occasional early hours)
- Microsoft Office proficiency; problem-solving, decision-making in fast-paced environment
- Ability to influence and coach leaders to drive positive employee outcomes
- Workday experience
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
