Overview
The City of Lansing Parks & Recreation Department is looking for a Part‑Time Junior Tennis & Leadership Year‑Round Instructor to coach and mentor diverse groups of youth ages 6‑18. This is a TEA (Temporary Employment Agreement) contractual position.
Responsibilities- Assist with tennis instruction in a positive, fun environment with as much individual attention as possible.
- Exemplify life skills and model leadership for all participants.
- Assist program and site directors on all field trips while assuming responsibility for tennis program participants.
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age; proof of documentation is required as part of the application process (birth certificate, passport, , etc.).
- Experience in playing/instructing tennis, specifically teaching tennis progressions from the USTA for beginners to competitive tennis players at high school level is preferred and/or experience in playing/instructing other sports may be acceptable.
