IntroductionIn this role, you'll work in one of IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), providing deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients worldwide. As an Associate Developer through IBM Consulting’s Associates Program for university hires, you’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse client projects, continually learn, and advance your career.
Your role and responsibilities- Design, develop, and support high-quality, scalable products and interfaces across the entire system architecture.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications for generative AI projects.
- Apply IBM's Design Thinking to produce user‑friendly, high‑performance solutions that meet security, quality, and stability standards.
- Work with multiple relational databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, Mongo
DB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, Angular
JS, React, Ember.js, Bootstrap, jQuery). - Create components, mockups, algorithms, and data structures to deliver viable products.
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred educationBachelor’s Degree.
Required technical and professional expertise- Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, React
JS) with systems design/development experience. - Experience with web services, APIs and Java application frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with generative AI modeling, ethics, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud).
- Flexibility to work across architecture – front‑end and back‑end.
- Maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation.
- Communicate with stakeholders on technical issues; design and code reusable, scalable servers, services, applications, and databases on platforms such as Postgre
SQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full‑time schedule for a full calendar year. Salary will vary based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits may be prorated for those who start part of the year.
