Position Summary

Sustain Lawn & Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead installation crews on landscape and hardscape projects throughout the Greater Lansing area.

The Landscape Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily job site operations, coordinating crew activities, ensuring safety standards are followed, and completing projects according to company quality expectations and timelines.

This role is ideal for individuals with landscape construction experience who are ready to take ownership of projects and grow into long-term leadership within a growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise landscape installation crews
  • Manage daily job site setup and workflow
  • Interpret landscape and hardscape plans
  • Oversee installation of patios, retaining walls, grading, drainage systems, and plant installations
  • Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
  • Train and mentor crew members
  • Operate landscaping and construction equipment
  • Communicate progress updates with management
  • Maintain job site organization and professionalism
  • Ensure equipment and materials are properly used and maintained
Required Qualifications
  • Previous landscape or hardscape installation experience
  • Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to read or interpret landscape plans
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor work duties
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating skid steers, compact equipment, or excavation machinery
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience managing project timelines or crews
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Outdoor work performed in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing
  • Ability to lift and move materials such as stone, block, and landscaping supplies
  • Operation of powered landscaping and construction equipment
Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Monday–Friday typical schedule
  • Seasonal overtime opportunities available
  • Year-round employment opportunities depending on workload
Compensation & Benefits
  • $18.00–$23.00 per hour based on experience
  • Health insurance available after 90 days
  • Performance-based bonuses available after 1 year
