Our Lansing, MI location is currently looking for an Experienced Water & Fire Restoration Technician to join our growing team. • Respond to residential and commercial properties affected by water or fire damage.
• Perform emergency service response, water extraction, light demolition, and use of hand tools and power tools with drying equipment placement.
• Perform mitigation services to IICRC standards.
• Communicate and provide detailed notes on job process daily.
• Follow documentation procedures and requirements (paper & electronic).
• Educate customers on the benefits of additional services Modernistic can offer.
• Follow all safety practices and industry standards at facility and job sites.
• Keep vehicle clean, organized and stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Must be able to work after hours and weekends when necessary.

• 1+ year of experience preferred in the Restoration industry (Water, Fire & Mold Remediation).
• Willingness to learn the entire restoration process.
• Willing to work after normal business hours as needed.
• Restoration/construction general knowledge or carpentry experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Friendly, honest, hardworking and dependable.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and clean driving record.
• Chauffeur's License & DOT Certification area plus (not required).
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
• Ability to move and lift 50 lbs. or more.
• IICRC certifications are preferred.
