Position Summary
As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you'll adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs across store facilities and equipment.
What you'll doExecute routine maintenance tasks; conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs across store facilities and equipment; support store associates by responding promptly to emergency maintenance calls; maintain accurate documentation in the work order management system.
Position Requirements- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience, or 5 years' experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
- License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
- Proficiency with intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
