We are seeking a licensed master plumber for the Bureau of Field Services Team. The position will perform emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance on MDOT facilities, obtain permits, handle a full range of plumbing work required by law for construction and remodeling projects, and assist with other skilled trade tasks. The role utilizes the computerized maintenance management system and work order process related to construction, remodeling, emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance of MDOT facilities.

The incumbent must drive a vehicle and/or vehicle/trailer combination (e.g., multiple types) with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to or more than 26,001 pounds to haul supplies, equipment, and material. Duties also include preparing permits, performing plumbing work as required by law, and supporting BFS and TSMO core functions.

• Education:
  
  High school graduation.
• Experience:
  
  Four years in the plumbing trade, including two years performing skilled plumbing. Completion of a vocational training program in plumbing that includes commercial or industrial level instruction cud substitute for two years of experience with skilled trades.
• Licenses & End activo:
  Possess a Commercial Learner’s Permit at the time of hire. Continuous employment requires a Commercial Driver’s License Group A with N or X endorsement and no air brake restrictions; must be obtained within 12 months from the date of hire.
• Master plumber’s license issued by the State of Michigan.
