Position Purpose
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships, specifically focusing on new business development. The OSR will monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed financial performance to plan by working with the Regional Pro Sales Manager and Pro Sales Manager. OSRs review pertinent Pro customer satisfaction results to understand customers' perspectives and use the information to drive local decisions and strategies to improve competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in district/regional meetings and communicate weekly activities with Pro Sales Manager.
- Drive incremental sales growth by cultivating business relationships with assigned customer portfolios and prospecting to drive new business. Partner with Pro Account Expeditor to facilitate quoting, ordering, and transactions. Utilize local community events to represent The Home Depot Pro brand and generate new business. Sell all available products and services, including credit options, volume pricing, delivery, will call, and online ordering.
Complete at least 10 sales calls weekly. Develop strategies to expand the customer base within the sales territory and meet individual revenue targets. - Use Salesforce to plan sales activities, manage customer communications, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Conduct initial customer meetings, build relationships, and leverage leads from internal teams and community sources to generate new business opportunities.

- Typically reports to the Pro Sales Manager

Travel Requirements
- Overnight travel estimated at 20% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or handling moderate-weight materials (8-20 pounds).
Working Conditions
- Primarily in a comfortable environment but with exposure to temperature extremes, machinery, noise, and fumes that may cause discomfort or risk.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 2+ years in account or sales management
- 2+ years in home improvement or building industry
- Proven success in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Deep understanding of Pro customer needs
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
Minimum Education
