Essential Function

Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present.

Primary

Duties
  • Brand (30%) – Supervise and support the direction and planning of associates’ daily goals to deliver an exceptional client experience that maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty in assigned stores. Ensure all brand standards (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.) are met and act as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues.
  • People (30%) – Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and retain associates, provide coaching or counseling, hold team accountable to company policies, resolve associate concerns, keep associates informed of relevant company information, build strong working relationships with peers, and foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Operations (30%) – Ensure execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies such as Omni‑channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS), manage inventory, payroll hours, store opening and closing procedures, and follow through with company directives, assignments, and projects.
  • Safety & Loss Prevention (10%) – Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies and procedures, protect company assets, analyze reporting tools and technology, ensure compliance with HAZMAT training, and uphold cash and inventory control procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
  • At least 1+ year of prior management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and management.
  • Must have scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Work may require specific physical characteristics such as above‑average agility and dexterity. The work environment involves everyday risks and discomforts typical of retail store settings, with normal safety precautions for office equipment, fire regulations, and traffic signals.

Adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation are provided.
