Overview
Piper Health and Sciences is looking for a dependable Animal Lab Technician in Lansing, MI to help care for research animals by keeping their living/working spaces clean and safe. Great short-term opportunity to gain hands-on experience while receiving full benefits, completive pay, and half-day Fridays
!
Note:
Students taking classes any time Monday-Friday, between 9-5pm, are NOT ELIGIBLE for this position as it requires full-time onsite working hours.
- Upkeeping clean living and working environments for small research animals (guinea pigs) in lab setting.
- Record notes, as needed, based on your observations.
- Operate lab equipment like autoclaves and cage washers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience working with animals.
- Background with lab animals is a plus (not required).
- Ability to lift around 25lb, if needed.
- Approximately $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
