Job Details:

• Level I trauma center experience required with minimum 2 years nursing experience

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 days of weekend

• Floating required to Pediatric ED when necessary

• Patient ratios:
Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:4-7 (can reach up to 1:8 during high volume/holidays)

• Care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Daily census of 250 patients with 100 beds available

• Required certifications:
Michigan RN license, ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC preferred

• EPIC charting experience required with additional training provided during orientation

• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• 36-hour orientation with non-billable modules (5 hours) completed pre-start

• RTO must be submitted at time of application with 5-day maximum per contract

• No RTO allowed from 3/27-4/12

• Work in specialized areas including Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department

• Handle Level I trauma cases, gunshot wounds, traumatic injuries, and complex emergency situations

This major healthcare facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and features a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams. The emergency department maintains high patient volumes and offers advanced critical care capabilities for complex trauma and emergency cases.
