Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring a MI license, telemetry skills, and travel nursing background.
Responsibilities- Work in a short-term acute care hospital on the Stepdown unit
- Level 1 Trauma, Magnet designated, and teaching hospital environment
- Typical patient ratios are 1:4-6
- Telemetric monitoring and dysrhythmia management required
- Three weekend shifts required per four-week schedule
- Night shifts are 12 hours (19:00-07:30)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to all adult acute care units within scope
- Epic EMR used, experience required
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule
- Must provide advanced nursing care for adult Stepdown patients with telemetry needs
- Hunter green scrubs required for this unit
- Free parking provided with badge access
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start
- Five-day maximum RTO policy per assignment; RTO must be submitted at time of application
- Block scheduling not available
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Returning staff must wait 12 months after employment to be considered
- Active MI RN license required by start date; compact licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Travel nursing experience required
- Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management experience required
- Proof of high school diploma or equivalent required
- Epic charting experience required
- Preferred: ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, ventilator management, and conscious sedation experience
