Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry position requiring a current MI RN license, BCLS, and travel experience.
Responsibilities- Position in the Stepdown Unit of a short-term acute care, Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:30)
- Patient ratios are 1:4-6
- Care for adult stepdown/telemetry patients, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Expected to float to all adult acute care units as needed
- Required to work three weekends per four-week schedule
- No on-call requirement
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule
- Must not request block scheduling
- No first-time travelers accepted for this position
- Scrub color is hunter green
- Parking is free with badge access to the garage
- Up to 5 days of RTO allowed per assignment, to be submitted at the time of application
- Specific RTO blocks are not approved during restricted dates
- Returning staff or travelers must wait 12 months before returning if previously employed
- Online modules must be completed prior to the start of assignment
- Active MI RN license required by start date
- Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience
- Current BCLS certification from AHA required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- ACLS, CPI, NIH, ventilator management, and conscious sedation experience preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Must be able to provide proof of HS education
