OverviewThe Inventory Supervisor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy throughout the entire plant by leading a team of cycle counts and inventory analysis as well as enforcing inventory policies for all departments. This position will lead small-scale and large-scale cycle counts and be responsible for all investigation and adjustments that result. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are vital for success.
This role requires good computer skills to track historical product movements in our ERP system (Plex). The candidate will become an expert in Plex to assist and train other supervisors and employees as necessary.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy for the whole plant to drive higher inventory turns
- Manage a team of inventory analysis and cycle counters
- Implement small- and large-scale physical inventory cycle counts
- Ensure cycle counts are conducted accurately and follow up with adjustments as necessary
- Ensure inventory adjustments made by quality and operations are valid and correct
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Utilize basic Excel functions for reports and data manipulation
- Monitor and maintain flow of various jobs and programs throughout production by compiling reports to assist supervision
- Ensure inventory is available and ready for production, including locating products and assisting in kitting
- Become an Plex expert to pull Plex data and train other employees
- Evaluate PCR and ECN for inventory and approval
- Ensure product movement is correct in Plex; may need to direct forklift traffic
- Possibility of obtaining a forklift license
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Knowledge of material handling, storage systems, and production support logistics
- Ability to coordinate schedules and communicate effectively with production and operations teams
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Plex)
- Sound decision making skills in an environment with changing priorities
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively
- Ability to obtain a PIV license
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
Minimum one (1) to four (4) years of related materials, logistics, or production support experience.
Background Prerequisites- Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing
- Supervisory experience in materials or production support
- Experience with inventory and reporting
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO
14001 compliance

Travel Requirements:
Minimal; may occasionally travel to customer or supplier sites.
