CNC Machinist - Otsego Area

Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

• Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, or grinding machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and detect malfunctions.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling to maintain part specifications.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and offsets.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for machining processes and quality defects.

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program generation or modification
• Experience with advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
  
  Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
