Senior Manufacturing Manager, Food Safety

Our client in Lansing, Michigan, is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee daily operations and drive excellence across their Food Safety manufacturing site. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are consistently met while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Lead and mentor teams, promoting collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee all production areas, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
• Achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Conduct regular audits and meetings to maintain operational standards.
• Implement production scheduling systems aligned with business needs.
• Drive initiatives to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support material flow.
• Lead readiness for new product introductions and equipment qualifications.
• Assist in budgeting and capital planning for continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience in GMP or regulated environments and managing multiple production lines.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
