In this position, youll work closely with quality engineers and manufacturing personnel to perform critical inspections using advanced CMM equipment. Youll play a key role in both routine checks and non-standard measurement requestssupporting production and tooling teams through hands-on metrology expertise. For those looking to pivot into deeper programming or multi-platform measurement work, this team also offers strong growth potential.
What Youll Do:
- Operate CMM equipment to perform in-process and final inspections
- Run existing inspection programs, interpret output, and ensure part conformity
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve measurement discrepancies
- Document inspection results per internal and industry standards
- Support tooling inspections for forging dies and post-machining analysis
- Maintain CMM equipment and ensure calibration standards are met
- 2+ years operating CMM equipment in a production or quality control environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
- Familiarity with either Zeiss Calypso or PCDMIS platforms (or both)
- Experience working with forged or machined components
- Comfortable working in a regulated, high-precision manufacturing environment
- Exposure to die or tool inspection workflows
- Understanding of theoretical datums and advanced GD&T callouts
- Familiarity with aerospace or medical manufacturing standards
- Interest in learning programming or developing multi-software capability
