** PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** (may include but are not limited to the following)
*** PROBATION OFFICE SUPERVISOR
**** Supervision of agents, including hiring and firing staff, training, discipling, establishing and evaluating performance standards.
* Programming; develop and update department procedures;
Perform monthly audits on subordinates’ active cases for compliance. Establish and maintain contacts for referrals to community- based agencies; reviewing status of compliance of probation orders; handling complaints from probationers or other applicable parties; maintaining case management accounts and records; and performing related activities.
* Report, maintain data on court activities including the preparation of monthly caseload reports.
* Budgeting preparation/Administration of the probation budget including but not limited to monitoring expenditures and preparing periodic budget reports; and direct the processing of financial documents and periodic/special reports as directed by the Court Administrator or Deputy Court Administrator.
* Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately for grants.
* Design, develop, and maintain spreadsheets and programs for analyzing financial information for the Court in relation to grants.
* Ensures appropriate internal controls for disbursement, transfer, recording, and reporting of monies are followed in relation to grants.
* Calculate grant money disbursement amounts, prepares grant reports, comply financial and other information and assist with preparing grant applications.
* Continually review and update policies and procedures for the probation department in coordination with the Court Administrator or Deputy Court Administrator and analyzes and prepares recommendations on programs needs. Review and implement cases and statutes which impact departmental procedures.
* Assist with the administrative functions of the probation program, such as overseeing the preparation of reports, preparing preliminary budget requests, and related functions. Assists in planning and developing new programs related to district court probation and general court operations.
*** TREATMENT COURT COORDINATOR
**** Coordinate of all aspects of 86th District Court Treatment Court.
* Onboard and recruit team members of the 86th District Treatment Court.
* Attend team meetings, recruit, and direct team members.
* Adhere to program polices and protocols.
* Collaborate with other government and community agencies to meet program goals.
* Respond to inquiries about the Treatment Courts.
* Research and review evidence-based practices related to treatment court operations to ensure program compliance, efficiency, effectiveness and innovation.
* Responsible for administration of the Treatment Court Case Management Information System (DCCMIS).
* Assist with development and implementation of program evaluation, program performance and outcomes measuring.
* Prepare reports and presentations as requested.
* Prepare annual Treatment Court grant applications.
* Responsible for training of treatment court staff.
* Responsible for making work assignments of treatment court staff.
* Counsel and assist staff.
* Coordinate the evaluation, recommendation and use of referral agencies/programs.
* Liaison with law enforcement agencies, courts, counseling and referral agencies.
* Schedules/Coordinate conferences and training for Treatment Court staff and Judges.
* Other duties as assigned by Court Administrator or Deputy Court Administrator.
** EDUCATION, FORMAL TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE** (minimum requirements)
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, law enforcement, behavioral sciences, corrections, rehabilitation counseling or guidance counseling or a related human services field.
* Two to four years professional experience as a probation officer or related human services field.
* * Preferred masters degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or professional counseling/CAADC certification.*
* * Preferred 1-2 years of experience in supervision of staff or supervisory role or degree in administration*
* * Preferred grant writing/grant management experience.*
* * Preferred working with public health agencies or community treatment providers.

* Must have valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance and must maintain eligibility to drive as per the County's Vehicle policy.
