Janitorial Floater On-Call - Lansing Area

Road Runr is looking for motivated, high energy team members that will perform the general cleaning requirements for our customers. Team members are expected to provide a consistent and high quality service by maintaining a clean, secure and a safe work environment.

You will be responsible for covering rest area positions including filling in for absent employees, employee training, project work and other duties as assigned. Assignments and work schedule will vary daily based on company needs.

• Filling in for absent employees at various locations in the Jackson and Ann Arbor Areas
• Delivering supplies, equipment, etc.
• Train/retrain employees as needed
• General janitorial cleaning tasks including:
  Emptying trash containers, taking trash outside to dumpster areas, dusting, spot cleaning, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning windows, polishing surfaces, cleaning and stocking restrooms; cleaning toilets, sinks, floors, plunging toilets, etc., sanitizing surfaces such as telephones and drinking fountains
• Snow and ice removal from sidewalks - will be using snow blowers, shovels, salt and other snow tools
• Weeding, watering flower beds, and picking up litter on the property
• Completing customer work orders, correcting complaints, etc.
• Clean and organize janitorial closets
• Other duties as assigned.

• $13.73/Hour
• Travel allowance

• Hours will vary – you'll be on-call to fill in – often with no advance notice
• Flexibility needed in hours from 6 AM – 10 PM depending on day of the week, holidays, etc.
• 7 days a week – Monday through Sunday
• Must be able to work holidays

• 1–3 years experience in the janitorial industry required
• Previous supervisory experience helpful, especially with employee training capabilities
• Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from various job sites
• Power washing experience helpful
• Must have flexible availability and be willing to work assigned hours
• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written format with other employees and the customer
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be a team player
• Must be able to work holidays

• Must be able to stand/walk for the entire length of your shift
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 25 pounds
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled carts loaded with products up to 50 pounds
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
