Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring others and a proven track record in the subject matter area of business analyst/quality assurance process and process improvement in an Agile environment using Azure Dev Ops as the tool. This position requires strong oral/written communication skills. This position is onsite 2 days per week in Lansing, Michigan, so please only apply if you are local to the area.

Objective

50% effort on requirements gathering for an upcoming IT project. 50% of effort to use existing templates to create content/reference material for business analyst and quality assurance roles and business subject matter experts to create cohesiveness between business, technical staff, and the project management office. This will also benefit Prod Support activities in terms of managing the Azure Dev Ops backlog, user stories, and Azure Dev Ops cards for work progress.

Responsibilities

Responsible for gathering and documenting clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements from the client, and understanding the business requirements thoroughly to communicate business need and system functionality to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.

Work with the project team and stakeholders to examine existing and future‑state business processes, data, and systems, guiding the gathering of business requirements related to desired system functionality.

Provide training/shadowing/coaching to existing and upcoming BA/QA roles and SMEs and tailor existing content and processes to the business area needs using provided templates.

Facilitate requirement gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements; coordinate with the product owner, UI/UX architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and others.

Maintain the project backlog during Agile projects, set priorities with the product owner, and ensure adherence to the project schedule and scope.

Ensure appropriate stakeholder inclusion for data requirements and resolve critical IT issues related to the role.

Provide information and analysis for Build vs. Buy project decisions and understand project benefits and impacts of changes to scope or requirements.

Ensure deliverables for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.

Job Type & Location

Contract position based out of Lansing, MI. Onsite 2 days per week; hybrid work schedule. Final date to receive applications:

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour.
