Interview Process- Candidates must be willing to come onsite (Lansing, MI) for interviews. A screenshot photo of the candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor representative present at the beginning of any MS Teams interview to validate the candidate.

Accepting local candidates within 2 hours of Lansing, MI ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start, and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.
The position functions as a senior information technology analyst responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a variety of automated data warehouse applications located on the State of Michigan’s Teradata Data Warehouse platform. The position will represent the team and coordinate team activities with other data warehouse teams on complex, multi‑team projects. In addition, the position will work with other data warehouse developers to review existing data warehouse policies and practices, modify them as needed, or propose new policies or practices.
Knowledge of SQL, Business Intelligence tools, and experience with the relational database is required to help develop and maintain client data warehouse ETL and queries.
Qualifications Required Skills- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study.
- 6+ years creating Data Warehouse BI applications including ETL/data mart development, reporting, dashboards and other information analysis and delivery systems.
- 2+ years of experience in Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, Juvenile services or other related areas.
- Experience with the State of Michigan PMM/SUITE/Agile methodology.
- SQL/Teradata Studio experience, BI applications.
- End‑user training experience.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Effective verbal and written communication with programmers, analysts, supervisors, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.
- Meet with users for clarification and elaboration to define problems and develop solutions.
- Analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, devise solutions, and make recommendations.
- Work with Data Modelers and developers, facilitating modification of logical design to create a physical design suited to reporting needs.
- Design applications considering data reconciliation, source‑system alignment, query/reporting performance, and analytical business value.
- With the Business Analyst, present information gathered to the Project Review Board and/or Project Sponsors during project review meetings, work groups, and the Technical Review Board.
- Consult with agency clients to explain complex IT processes and solutions, maintaining an effective communication plan with DTMB and agency clients related to project‑level metrics and bureau‑level reporting.
- Assist Architect or DBA to draft a technical database model that complies with audit separation of duty requirements, captures requirements of data elements, designs data elements to meet application needs, and reviews/approves updates to system documentation.
- Gather, review, and analyze potential impacts of changes and inform DTMB management and supported client agencies of impacts and risks to existing IT solutions.
