Job Summary:

The Senior Business Process Reengineer supports the Department of Education’s Office of Educational Supports (OES) in improving and maintaining the Consolidated Application within the Nex Sys platform
, a critical system for distributing federal formula grants to Local Education Agencies (LEAs). This role acts as a strategic liaison across business and technical teams to ensure streamlined processes, compliance, and system functionality.

Process Analysis & Improvement:

• Review and document existing grant-related business processes and workflows.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend best-practice improvements.
• Analyze federal policy changes and provide OES with guidance on necessary application updates.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Facilitate meetings with internal teams, field consultants, and external partners.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for field consultants on application-related issues.
• Communicate project updates, resolutions, and timelines to stakeholders.

Operational & Technical Liaison:

• Manage and prioritize operational support requests and enhancement tickets within Azure Dev Ops
  .
• Collaborate with technical teams (OSET, DTMB, and vendors) to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
  .

Leadership & Team Coordination:

• Lead and mentor a team of business analysts.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions to align project goals and deliverables.
• Ensure consistent communication and coordination across project teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Management:

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation on Share Point .
• Ensure decisions and process updates are properly tracked for reference and compliance.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in business process reengineering or business analysis
  .
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience leading teams in cross-functional or government program settings.

Nice-to-Have

Experience:

• Experience with grant management systems or federally funded programs.
• Prior work within government or education environments.
