Human Resources Technician -E9: Disability Call Agent

The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, has exemplary analytical and problem‑solving skills, and is interested in working in a fast‑paced Human Resources environment. This position will serve as a Human Resources Technician performing a full range of duties servicing the Department of Corrections, handling workers’ compensation and medical leaves. The position is the first point of contact for Michigan Department of Corrections employees, supervisors, and Human Resources staff.

• A strong understanding of the Family Medical Leave Act.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply policies, rules, regulations, and the Family and Medical Leave Act Guidelines.
• Excellent organizational skills.

This position currently holds a hybrid schedule, where you will be in the office one day per week and work remotely for the other four days. This is subject to change at any time based on operational needs.
