Position: Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse - $2,943 per week

Job Details:

• Level I trauma center experience required with 2 years minimum nursing experience

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend

• No on-call responsibilities

• Floating required to Pediatric Emergency Department if necessary

• Patient ratios typically 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays

• Care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Daily census of approximately 250 patients with 100 beds

• Required certifications:
Michigan RN license, ACLS, BCLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH

• ENPC certification preferred

• EPIC charting system experience required

• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Travel experience required - unit accepts first-time travelers

• Preferred experience with continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• 36-hour orientation with non-billable modules (approximately 5 hours)

• Work in specialized areas including Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department

• Handle complex cases including trauma, CVA, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, gunshot wounds, and traumatic injuries

• Skills include arterial line management, ICP monitoring, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, and central line management

• Maximum 5-day RTO policy per contract - must be submitted at time of application
