Job Details:

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend

• Floating required to Pediatric ED if necessary

• Patient ratios:
Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:4-7, can be up to 8 depending on patient volume and holidays

• Care for patients of all ages including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Daily census of approximately 250 patients with 100 beds

• 36-hour orientation required with 5 hours of non-billable modules to be completed pre-start

• Required certifications:
State license, ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, NIH

• Preferred certifications: ENPC

• 2 years minimum experience required with Level I trauma experience mandatory

• EPIC charting experience required

• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

• Preferred experience includes continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage

• Unit accepts first-time travelers

• Locals accepted at same pay rate

• 5-day maximum RTO policy with all requests submitted at time of application

• No RTO allowed from 3/27-4/12

• Michigan license must be active by start date (compact license not accepted)

This healthcare facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and features a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department. The facility maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The emergency department is equipped to handle high-acuity cases and maintains STEMI and stroke certification, providing advanced care for complex medical situations.
