This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay‑on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay‑on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency!
This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period.
- Provide home‑based intervention to children from birth through seven years of age and their families within the tri‑county area.
- Complete administrative tasks from a remote location when possible.
- Receive training and certification within an evidence‑based practice; endorsement fees and ongoing registration are provided at no cost to the employee.
- Assess and intervene to meet child’s emotional, social, and developmental needs at home, school, and/or child care.
- Develop a comprehensive intervention plan to address the needs of all family members.
- Facilitate the accomplishment of the family’s goals through service provision.
- Consult with child care providers and link and collaborate with other community human service providers.
- Carry out all program activities in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of CMHA‑CEI.

- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required; must be obtained within 60 days of application.
- State of Michigan credential required; must be applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Michigan Infant Mental Health Association Endorsement® as an Infant Family Specialist (IFS) or Infant Mental Health Specialist (IMHS), or become endorsed (the agency will guide the process).
- One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families, or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children with SED.
- One or more evening hours expected.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job‑related use.
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of:
Michigan State Police clearance check, Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours$60,604 – $68,790 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $79,538. 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. some evening hours.
