About the Job
As a caregiver, you will provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and individuals who need assistance. You’ll create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while offering companionship and emotional support. Each shift is one-on-one, giving you the chance to truly make a difference.
Schedule & Shifts
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- Weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnights
- Day shifts range from 4–12 hours
- Overnight shifts range from 9–12 hours
- Shifts are available across the Greater Lansing Area, mainly in Delta Township, Grand Ledge, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, DeWitt — no long-distance travel required.
What You’ll Do
As a Comfort Keeper, you’ll do more than assist with daily tasks — you’ll bring joy, companionship, and peace of mind to seniors and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
- Light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and medication reminders
- Companionship and engaging conversation
- Encourage social engagement and meaningful activities
- Personal care support: mobility, hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming if needed (training provided)
- Provide safe transportation and running errands if needed
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for clients
- Document care notes and report changes in the client’s condition.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass background checks (criminal and driving record)
- Willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- Provide professional and personal reference check
- Ability to travel within the Greater Lansing Area
- Completion of Comfort Keepers' training and orientation program
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English for client care and documentation
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with mobility if needed
Experience
- Relevant home care experience is preferred but not required - we will train the right person!
- CNA/HHA certification is welcome, but not required
