This position serves as an Analyst within the Administration Department of the Asset Management Division, supporting asset management processes and policies with division-wide impact. The Analyst researches, collects, consolidates, analyzes, and maintains program data necessary to meet reporting and evaluation requirements and the overall goals of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). The Analyst establishes, administers, and evaluates ongoing program operations and recommends modifications to policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary liaison with property management agents, owners, and vendors for assigned Asset Management functions.
The Analyst coordinates workshops and conferences, oversees and analyzes the process for awarding premium management fees, evaluates new management agent qualifications for acceptance as MSHDA‑approved agents, and reviews and analyzes property insurance policies. The role also includes preparing and conducting correspondence related to Administrative Department activities and analyzing, developing, and recommending alternative strategies to address process improvements across the department and division.

Education for Departmental Analyst 9-P11Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience for Departmental Analyst 9-P11- Departmental Analyst 9:
No specific type or amount is required. - Departmental Analyst 10:
One year of professional experience. - Departmental Analyst P11:
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
- Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
- Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
- Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
- Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.
- Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
- One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.
Educational SubstitutionCollege credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full‑time active‑du‑ty experience at or above the E‑6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
