Controller - Lansing Area

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

• Manage all financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee all cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring performance against targets.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support operational decisions and capital expenditure planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification highly preferred.
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in cost accounting principles (standard costing, variance analysis) and inventory management.
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Lean or Six Sigma certification/experience
• Proficiency with advanced data visualization and business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to ERP system implementations or major upgrades
• Multi-site or international manufacturing financial experience
