Controller, Finance & Banking, CFO

Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller who is ready to grow into a CFO role as part of our executive succession plan. This is a unique Controller opportunity for a motivated leader to immerse themselves in all aspects of our business and play a critical role in shaping its financial future.

The ideal candidate will be both detail-oriented and big-picture focused-comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations while contributing to strategic planning, financial analysis, and leadership decision-making. As a key member of the leadership team, this person will work closely with ownership and executive management to drive growth, operational efficiency, and long-term financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee all accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance

+ Provide insight and support on business strategy, forecasting, and performance metrics

+ Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

+ Prepare for a seamless transition into the CFO role by gaining deep knowledge of our business operations, industry, and growth objectives

Requirements

+ Strong technical accounting foundation, 5+ years public accounting audit experience and CPA license highly preferred

+ Proven leadership in financial management, with a desire to grow into a CFO role

+ Collaborative, curious, and committed to becoming a trusted advisor to executive leadership
