Job Summary:
Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.

This faculty member will be responsible for the instruction of classes/labs related to Manufacturing Engineering Technologies - Design Programs. Areas of concentration include Basic Mechanical Drafting, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Metrology and Coordinate Measuring Machines, Mechanical Systems (Mechatronics) and Robotics. The individual will teach courses in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. The ideal candidate will have current, relevant industry experience.
Proficient communication and computer skills are a must.
The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following skill sets:
Basic Finite Element Analysis
Siemens Sim Center Application
Siemens Simulation Application
NX Manufacturing
NX Advanced Design
NX Structural Design Environment
Weldment Design
NX Freeform Modeling Surfacing
Realize Shape Design Environment
Gear Design and Detail drawing:
Spur Gears, Bevel Gears, and Drive Shafts
Solid Edge
CAM pro
Structural Frame designer
Generative Design
Subdivision Modeling
Mold tooling
Teaching assignments may include daytime and/or evening hours.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Drafting or Design/related field with a minimum 2 years recent/relevant work experience; OR Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting or Design/related field with a minimum 4 years recent/relevant work experience; OR Journey status in a manufacturing trade and 4 years recent/relevant work experience; OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years recent/relevant documented work experience.
