Engineering Manager - Lansing Area

Salary Range: $111,000 - $160,000 depending on experience

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges and support new product introductions.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Develop and manage the engineering department's budget and resource allocation.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline relevant to manufacturing (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
• 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex engineering projects from conception to successful implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with ERP or MES system implementation and optimization
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies
