This position functions as the designated recognized resource Aircraft Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections on standard and complex aircraft. Work is carried out using appropriate parts, supplies, tools, and procedures in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and the Air Transport flight operations manual to ensure the state-owned fleet remains airworthy and ready for flight.
Responsibilities also include procuring and tracking parts, acquiring and calibrating tools, maintaining manuals and their revision status, and overseeing the maintenance of ground support equipment. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Aircraft Mechanic 11 position.

EducationEducational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
ExperienceFour years of experience as a licensed Aircraft Mechanic, including two years equivalent to the Aircraft Mechanic E10.
Required QualificationsTo be considered for this position you must:
- Possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings and must maintain throughout employment.
- Possess a valid FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate or obtained within six months from date of hire into the position and must be maintained throughout employment.
