Middle School Athletic Director

The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. Middle School Athletic Directors work hand in hand with school administrators to recruit athletes, develop coaches, and coordinate athletic events.

Minimum Requirements

• K-12 athletic coaching experience
• Knowledge of MHSAA policies
• Knowledge of LSD Athletics policies
• Able to attend all home athletic competitions
• Alignment & commitment to the Lansing School District mission & vision

Sample Job Responsibilities

• Supervise all home athletic events
• Recruit and manage operations staff for home athletic competitions
• Hire & coordinate officials
• Act as ticket manager for home athletic events
• Act as host for visiting teams, press, and families
• Arrange athletic schedules in coordination with school administration
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission & vision

$7,511 - $7,511 one-time

This is paid as a co-curricular stipend, per the LSEA contract.
