Watercolor, Acrylic Painting and/or Drawing Instructor Wanted in Lansing, MI

Part-time

We are seeking an instructor to teach art classes at the Michaels store in Lansing, MI. This is a part-time, permanent position for artists who would like to offer classes but do not have their own studio space.

Responsibilities

• Paint and/or draw realistically; ability to teach realistic watercolor, acrylic painting, and/or drawing classes
• Market classes and build a student base

Compensation

• Hourly rate plus $3 per student for Basic/Project classes (schedule up to one time per month)
• Advanced Classes:
  Hourly rate plus $7 per student for 6 students or fewer in attendance
• Advanced Classes:
  Hourly rate plus $10 per student for 7 or more students in attendance

Duration

Classes are two hours in length. The goal of each class is for students to leave with a finished painting or drawing.

Certification

All Grumbacher art instructors who teach classes at Michaels must become certified through Grumbacher.
