WIELAND’s Professional Development Coordinator will be responsible for creating a comprehensive education and professional development plan for all employees. They are passionate about education and the construction industry, training individuals in the values and principles that WIELAND’s team members exemplify. They will recommend content, schedule, maintain records of, and report on employee training. This person will collaborate with the HR Director, Department Leaders, Corporate Compliance Manager, VP’s and CEO, in the common interest of all, to develop programs and enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Functions
Identify regular training needs within WIELAND including specific departments and project teams.Lead professional development programs, workshops, and training, delivering engaging and effective content.Curate and distribute training materials for educational presentations, trainings, and workshops.Schedule and track all training programs in WIELAND’s Learning Management System (LMS) software and follow up on outstanding items.Assess the effectiveness and engagement produced in each training course to identify continued improvement.Act as a liaison and support to employees and Corporate Leaders to guide the development and implementation of training events.Keep current on construction industry educational trends, best practices, initiatives, and standards to ensure WIELAND meets or exceeds expectations.Report on educational findings to various WIELAND departments as requested by HR Director.Manage the logistics for training events including internal and external individuals, travel, lodging, venue selection, etc.Develop and foster positive working relationships with WIELAND employees to establish a robust professional development program each year.Convey WIELAND’s training and development plan to new hires during onboarding and communicate updates as changes are made.Curate and manage a meaningful onboarding series tailored to each new hire and their specific role.Manage the professional development budget to ensure WIELAND remains within the estimated expenditure for the year.Communicate promptly, accurately, and thoroughly to maintain trust with employees, Directors, and Shareholders.Assist employees in recording their completed trainings, licenses, and certifications on their LMS platform.Participate in professional associations, conferences, and trainings related to the construction industry to stay current with industry trends.Perform well under pressure while maintaining professionalism.Respect differences and similarities; listen and understand others' viewpoints.Maintain and demonstrate company values and culture.Travel as needed based on project requirements.Key Performance Indicators
