Facility:
This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a comprehensive Cardiovascular Surgery program. The hospital utilizes Epic EMR and provides advanced cardiac and vascular surgical services to the surrounding community with dedicated CVICU and CVSU units.

Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:

• Position involves rounding with and supporting both cardiac and vascular surgeons
• Work schedule consists of 4-day, 10-hour shifts
• On-call responsibilities include 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home)
• Required to work 1 weekend per month (provider will be on their own during weekends)
• Average patient load is approximately 15 patients per day (weekends tend to have higher volumes)
• Patient distribution includes CVICU (2-8 patients/day), CVSU (2-5 patients/day, includes discharges), and Vascular (4-10 patients between ICU and floors)
• Weekend patient lists typically range from 15-30 patients
• This is a rounding position with no OR responsibilities
• Position available starting in February due to recent APP resignation
• Board Certification in APP required
• Active Michigan State Medical License preferred
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Must be experienced - new graduates not accepted
• NPDB self-query required at presentation (pulled within 30 days)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
