Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Michigan, United States, for a Construction Materials Testing Technician. The key responsibilities include performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials, interpreting test results, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Additional duties may include collaborating with team members, communicating with clients, and maintaining testing equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications- Experience in construction materials testing, including soil, concrete, and asphalt testing
- Knowledge of industry standards, material specifications, and testing procedures
- Proficiency in fieldwork and equipment operation necessary for testing construction materials
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
- Good organizational skills to manage reporting and ensure compliance with project guidelines
- Ability to perform physical labor and work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions
- Current certifications, such as ACI (American Concrete Institute) Field Testing Technician or MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation) certifications, are preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
